 Carry On Jatta is a 2012 Punjabi comedy film starring Gippy Grewal and Mahie Gill that released on July 27, 2012

Jass (Gippy Grewal) fall's in love with Mahie (Mahie Gill) at a friends wedding, but she only wants to marry someone who doesn't have a family and is an orphan like herself because she doesn't want to deal with the nagging and interference of in laws post marriage. So to woo her Jass pretends he's an orphan and she falls in love with him, but when she tells her brother he forces them to marry right away or else he won't agree. So Jass marries Mahi without telling his father Advocate Dhillon (Jaswinder Bhalla), brother Goldy Dhillon (Binnu Dhillon) or his wife Diljit Dhillon (Anshu Sawhney). Now after marriage Jass tells Mahi to find them a place to stay and she finds a sublease room in Jass's own home and that's where the comedy of errors begins. Jass and his best friend Honey (Gurpreet Ghuggi) cook up several plans to confuse Jass's family so Jass can live with his wife Mahi in his own home without his family ever finding out. But in between all this Honey marries his girlfriend Preet (Khusbhoo Grewal) in secret because his dad Inspector Sikhander Tiwana (B.N Sharma) won't agree to his marriage but Honey tricks Preet's parents into believing that she's marrying Jass without Jass even knowing it. Hence a a madcap comedy of errors ensues and ultimately the outcome is a comically charged climax of marital mix ups.

Carry On Jatta had the second highest opening for a Punjabi film in Punjab with Rs. 61 lakh net on its opening day; this is Rs. 1 lakh more than Gippy Grewal's last film Mirza, which was the biggest opener at that time. It then went on to have a weekend collection of Rs 2.05 Cr, an opening week collection of Rs 3.75 Cr and is on its way to make a total of Rs 10 Crore in India, making it the second-highest grossing Punjabi film in India^. It also performed well overseas, especially in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Jatt & Juliet is a Punjabi romantic comedy directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Darshan Singh Grewal and Gunbir Singh Sidhu. The film stars Diljit Dosanjh opposite Neeru Bajwa. It was released to theaters on 29 June 2012.
The Movie took a historic opening, it opened to 100% occupancies and shattered all previous Punjabi Film openings by a distance. It collected Rs 80 lakhs on its first day in Punjab and Rs 2.27 Crores in its opening weekend.^[1] It set a record for the first week box office by collecting of Rs 4.70 Crore (Rs 4.30 cr East Punjab + Rs 40 lakhs Delhi/UP) and in its second weekend it collected Rs 2 Crore plus to become the highest grossing Punjabi Film with a collection of Rs 6.75 Crores in just 10 days! ^[2][3] After four weeks of release it has grossed a total of Rs 10.80 cr from the East Punjab territory, which is the 3rd highest total in that territory in the history of Indian Cinema, only behind Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots and Salman Khan's Bodyguard.^[4] The total 4 week collection for Jatt and Juliet in India is Rs 12.12 Cr (10.80 Cr East Punjab + 1.27 Cr Delhi/UP) and is on its way to finish at Rs 14 Cr nett in India.^[5]

Bollywood remake

After becoming a huge commercial and critical success, Jatt and Juliet becomes the first Punjabi film whose remake rights have been bought by Bollywood for a Hindi remake. Himesh Reshammiya's company has bought the remake rights which will be made in Hindi with a big bollywood star and directed by Jatt and Juliet director Anurag Singh as well.^[11]

Sequel - Jatt and Juliet 2

The producers have expressed their interest in making a sequel of the film - to be called Jatt and Juliet 2. This will make it the second Punjabi film to have a sequel,after Yaaran Naal Bahaaran. The film is expected to release in 2013, with the shooting beginning in October, 2012. ^{[12]
